Supportive Housing
Description
Cooperative
living opportunities are provided through the New
Dimensions Supportive Housing program and the Homestead
Cooperative program. Additionally 6 houses are located in Davis and
Woodland.
At
each house residents have their own room, and do their own shopping and
cooking. Weekly meetings, facilitated by a YCCC and a Yolo County Mental
Health counselor, help residents to divide chores and provide mutual support.
Staff also provide individual support to those who need help with shopping
or preparation of meals, completing laundry or engaging in meaningful
activities.
Residents
pay one sum to YCCC monthly to cover rent, utilities, cable, and maintenance
and repair of the house. YCCC provides maintenance to the property and
appliances, and supplies furniture and major appliances.
Referral
to New Dimensions is made through Yolo County Mental Health. Referrals
to our supportive houses and Homestead may vary. Please contact James
McLeod, Supportive Housing Program Director for more information.
